10 Things That Are Staying With Me In The New Year
BY JENNY JUNG
My top discoveries from the year 2024.

27 FEB - 2025
A bit of makeup, skincare, fragrance and lifestyle items that I am taking with me into the new year.
As we step into the new year, it's the perfect time to reflect on the lifestyle, beauty and fashion items that have made an impact and helped shape the way we live, look and feel. In this article, I'm sharing the top 10 things I'm taking with me into the new year – essential items that I will continue loving in 2025.

Don't sleep on Eau d'Italie

Loving everything Rose Inc!
Shark FlexStyle
Not just a hair tool, but a lifestyle – bless whoever thought of this. My mornings have gone from frazzled to fabulous as I blow-dry, curl and look like I’ve had eight hours of sleep when I’ve barely clocked four. It’s basically a magic wand. Everyone wants to know, does it hold up against the Dyson Airwrap? The short answer is yes but if you would like to know more details then read our FlexStyle vs Airwrap article linked below.
Top tip: do your hair the night before to save more time in the morning.
Ninja Creami
Homemade gelato on a Tuesday? Yes, please. Admittedly I’ve been visiting my boyfriend’s house more just to use this amazing little thing (don’t tell him). You get the best ice cream even if you’re using plain old milk.
My current favourite recipe:
1. In a pot, simmer 300ml of your choice of milk along with 2 bags of English breakfast tea for 10-15 minutes – or until the tea has reached the colour you like.
2. Take off the heat and add your choice of sweetener to your liking.
3. Cool down before you freeze in your Ninja Creami container overnight.
4. For addons, I like to add digestive biscuits for the ultimate “tea and biscuits” flavour that is out of this world.
Aesop Geranium Leaf Body Balm
Is it lotion or a portal to a high-end spa? All I know is that I’ve never felt more like a well-moisturised goddess. It’s hydrating enough to handle the driest shins while smelling like you’ve casually spent your weekend in the south of France. Am I extra for reapplying mid-day? Absolutely. Plus, by leaving it on my bedside table, it makes me feel extra boujee while I manifest my life of luxury.

Aesop, Geranium Leaf Body Balm, $55 NZD.
Espressoh Ohmyglow Skin Tint
The secret to “I woke up like this” skin. It’s sheer, it’s radiant, it’s everything I need a skin tint to be. Somewhere between skincare and makeup, this tint’s espresso-infused magic has me faking awake in style. Who needs filters when you’ve got this? I am practically through my first bottle and ready to pick up my second for the new year.
Eau d’Italie Fior Fiore EDP
This perfume is less “wearing a scent” and more “stepping into an Italian movie scene.” A blend of jasmine, lily of the valley and pear, it’s romantic and vibrant. It’s my olfactory wingman and never fails to elicit “what are you wearing?” compliments. This is my number one fragrance for the second year in a row.
Cuddle Buddy
Dermalogica Biolumin C Night Serum
My Relationship
Cheesy? Maybe. But love in the age of chaos deserves a shoutout. Here’s to more shared playlists, inside jokes and stolen fries.
Unfortunately, he isn’t for sale.

Lorna Jane Flashdance Pant
Whether I’m running errands or dancing in my living room, these pants are for every occasion. Comfort meets cool. I have them in two colours (two pairs in black and one in grey) and I am patiently waiting for the next sale to snag up a third.
Highly recommend.
Rose Inc Heliotrope Cream Blush
A swipe of this blush, and suddenly I’m alive. The perfect blend of dewy and pigmented, it’s my shortcut to looking effortlessly flushed. Not that it’s bronzey by any means, but I can get away with not wearing a bronzer with this peachy blush – it’s the perfect one and done product and I am scraping up every last bit.
It’s not just about things, it's about finding joy in the little rituals, tools and comforts that make life better. Whether it’s perfecting a recipe, enhancing self-care or simply adding a touch of style to the everyday, these are the essentials I’m holding onto.
Here’s to a year of practical indulgence and little luxuries that feel just right.
