Here Are The Best Waterproof Eyeliners for Tightlining

Tightlining might seem a little scary at first, but once you have the hang of it, you won’t be able to look back.
Tightlining is a technique that is used to disguise the fleshy upper waterline with a darker shade. In doing so, it ties up your look by diminishing the gap between your eyes and the lashes. Although this seems like an unnecessary step, tightlining can fake a fuller lash line, streamline your look and add a professional touch to your overall look.
Because the tightline is inherently watery, we need to use a durable, longwearing and waterproof pencil liner that can persist throughout the day. Here are my top recommendations for the best results and minimal smudge!

NARS: High-Pigment Longwear Eyeliner
The NARS High-Pigment Liner is my go-to for all pencil eyeliner related searches. Beautiful shade range, creamy, and bulletproof. If you have hooded eyes and you cannot find an eyeliner that meets your extra-special needs, look no further. If it works for hooded eyelids, you know you can trust it.
If you have been following me for a while, you will recognise my appraising attitude towards this eyeliner. I absolutely dote on this product every time I am asked for recommendations. However, you should know that this eyeliner requires sharpening every once in a while- so are all my recommendations further down. Pencil eyeliners that twist up tend to dry faster and crumble on the eyes. Opt for a pencil that you can sharpen- they are ostensibly better products.

Charlotte Tilbury is truly a visionary genius. She has created the perfect one-and-done eyeliner that can create depth and light with one product. What’s more? The formula is red carpet approved.
The Hollywood Exagger-eyes is black on one side and champagne on the other. This means that you can create sultry eyes by smudging out the black paired with a perfect pop of highlight.
If you stalk CT on Instagram, she so graciously includes the products that she uses on her celebrity babes for the red carpet. This means that the Hollywood Exagger-eyes is a verified long-wearing eyeliner for the most special of events. Personally, my experience with this eyeliner has only been positive and I can’t help but appreciate the artistic quality behind the idea. Often, creative ventures in the makeup world compromises on performance, but CT knows better!
